Topic: iPhone can connect to WEMOS D1 Mini, iPad won't ...

I have a working project which works flawlessly on my iPhone, but when I try to add the project to my iPad I get an error that says "Error: The operation couldn't be completed. Network is down".

On the screen where I try to connect, it shows me the correct SSID and port 6377.

Any ideas ???

Does anyone have any ideas why the iPad 6th Generation (iOS 15.6) won't work with RemoteXY ?

WiFi settings are the same as the iPhone 8 (iOS 15.6)

Trying to get to the bottom of this, and have carefully checked all the iPad settings, but still cannot get a connection established.

But during testing I have observed a strange thing happening.

1. I connect to my device with my iPhone, all successful.

2. I then try to connect the iPad to the same device, but I get a continual "Connecting" status and the graphic.

3. I trigger my project to do its job, and it includes sounds.... These sounds are heard coming from the iPad simultaneously, even though it has not completely connected.

Both the iPhone and iPad have moved on, and are running the latest iOS (iPad 16.1.1, iPhone 16.1.2)

Any thoughts anyone ???

ESP8266 has software AP. Maybe it can't keep two connections at the same time?
